ECO STATEMENT

Ant Print is deeply committed to upholding sustainable printing practices that prioritize the health of our planet. We recognize that the printing industry has a significant environmental impact, and we have made it our ethos to minimize our ecological footprint in every aspect of our operations.

One of our key principles is the use of eco-friendly inks. We prioritize the use of vegetable-based, eco-solvent and eco-sublimation inks that are made from renewable resources and do not contain harmful chemicals such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs). For example, we have invested in state-of-the-art printing equipment that utilizes those inks, which significantly reduce our carbon emissions and environmental footprint.

We keep waste to a minimum

In addition, we are committed to recycling all waste generated during our printing process. This includes paper trimmings, ink bottles, packaging, and other printing-related waste. We have implemented a comprehensive recycling program in our facility, where we separate and properly dispose of different types of waste materials. By doing so, we aim to minimize our contribution to landfills and reduce our overall environmental impact.

Furthermore, we prioritize the use of recycled paper and card whenever possible and also offer recycled paper and card print options for you. We believe that using recycled materials is essential in conserving natural resources, reducing energy consumption, and minimizing deforestation. For instance, we source our paper and card from certified suppliers who adhere to sustainable forestry practices and offer products made from post-consumer waste. By using recycled materials, we contribute to the circular economy and promote the responsible use of resources.

Another important aspect of our sustainable printing ethos is waste reduction. We are continuously exploring ways to minimize waste throughout our production process. For example, we carefully plan and optimize our print runs to minimize overruns and excess inventory. We also encourage our clients to order only the quantities they need, reducing unnecessary waste and lowering their environmental impact as well.

 Repurpose

To further limit landfill waste, we actively seek opportunities to repurpose or donate any surplus materials that are not suitable for recycling. For instance, we collaborate with local schools and community organizations to donate our paper and card scraps for use in art projects or other creative endeavours. This way, we give new life to materials that might otherwise end up in landfills, contributing to a more sustainable and circular approach to waste management. We also try to re-use boxes, packaging, bubble wrap, envelopes and other similar items when sending products to you, and we only re-use items that are still in good shape for shipping as to not compromise on your products getting damaged in transit.

To sum up, at Ant Print, sustainability is at the heart of our printing practices. We are dedicated to using eco-friendly inks, recycling all waste, utilizing recycled paper and card, minimizing waste, reducing landfill waste, and seeking opportunities for repurposing and donation. By adhering to these principles, we strive to minimize our environmental impact and promote a more sustainable approach to printing. We are continuously looking for innovative ways to improve our sustainability practices and contribute positively to the health of our planet. Together, we can make a difference in protecting our environment for future generations.

Forestry Stewardship

All paper and card that we use, or our carefully chosen print partners all use FSC certified materials.
For more information please read below and visit the FSC’s website linked below.

Through responsible management of forests, and verifying the use of recycled materials, the FSC system can help secure a long-term source of paper. FSC can enable the paper and printing sectors to demonstrate their commitment to responsible forestry.

Printed materials, including books, magazines and greeting cards, can only carry an FSC label if they are produced and labelled under a valid FSC chain of custody certificate. By using an FSC-certified printer, specifying the FSC-certified paper and requesting an FSC label, you can create publish FSC-certified products.

Publishers are not required to hold FSC certification in order to have their books or cards carry an FSC label (see above), but they may apply for their own certification and either outsource their printing or print in-house. Holding FSC certification means a publisher is free to use any printer (certified or uncertified) to complete print jobs under an outsourcing policy. Certified publishers can use their own licence number within the FSC label and make FSC claims on their outgoing invoices.
